For those unaware, American keyboardist, composer, producer, and arranger Jason Miles has spent over 50 years pioneering the global music industry, and over 5 of those years by Miles Davis’ side, helping him pivot a new jazz fusion sound on albums such as TuTu, Music from Siesta, and Amandla.
A musical pioneer, he has worked on some of the most important music and artists in Jazz, pop and R&B over the last 45 years, Miles Davis, Luther Vandross, Sting among the many. As aforementioned, he set the bar very high with his work on Miles Davis’s groundbreaking album TuTu and he is also a Grammy-winning producer who has also been nominated 3 times.
Honoring what would be his colleague and friend’s 100th birthday, Jason now presents 100 Miles for Miles Davis on May 1st, 2026, a collection of tracks inspired by his time spent alongside one of the most legendary musicians of our time.

The first of eight original compositions, and his first album of this kind in six years, opens on the joyful 100 Miles and then brings us a soaring The Girl With the Purple Hair, the grooved Collateral Damage and then we get brought forth the luxuriant Malibu Midnight Blue.
Along next is the upbeat and warmly enriching Samba Para Miles which is itself backed seamlessly by the late night, sun setting ambiance felt within Jeanne Moreau, the set rounding out on two versions of the titular Miles to Miles; the piano version, the set closing on a more pronounced 1994 bonus rendition.
