Title - Terra
Artist - Phil Haynes / Ben Monder / Peyton Pleninger
Live, through-composed group improvisation - in this first ever meeting as an ensemble - for Haynes’ Bucknell University faculty jazz recital, as if laying down, stargazing...
Hush, mystery, uncertain atmosphere, wood rustling, skins, eventually a voice... of a mystical beauty... Another spontaneous earthen cry for sustainably sane global environmental policy and action.

1. Moonrise / Aurora / Starlit / Meteor [19:17]
2. Vision Quest / Three Visitors [17:43]
3. Skylark [9:53]
4. Borealis / Showers / Dreams / Dawn [15:14]
This quite mesmerizing new recording opens on the ethereal growth, at first, then more emboldened and sculpted, latterly confidently strident four-part, twenty minute Moonrise / Aurora / Starlit / Meteor and that is in turn backed seamlessly by the hauntingly enriched, latterly organically pulsing, quaveringly alluring two-part, 17-minute Vision Quest / Three Visitors, then we get the rhythmically melodious Skylark, the set rounding out on the atmospherically-charged Clarabella, coming to a close on some affectingly jagged notes, interspersed with moments of a stoic nature and dreamlike sequences that amiably blend together for the four-part, fifteen minute Borealis / Showers / Dreams / Dawn.
