Title - Behold A Pale Horse
Artist - Parabellum
For those unaware, forged in the heat of California’s rising thrash scene, Parabellum unleash Behold a Pale Horse (Rockshots Records) - a darker, heavier and more apocalyptic record that defines their sound and vision. Following their acclaimed debut The Iron Curtain, this album deepens the band’s political and existential focus blending old-school ferocity with modern precision and depth.
Inspired by the Book of Revelation, Behold a Pale Horse explores collapse, judgment and the decay of modern civilization. Each track represents a chapter in this apocalyptic narrative - from the manipulation of I Am the Mockingbird to the spiritual struggle of Sanctification and Heresy, the introspective Sic Vita Est and the cataclysmic 7 Years. The band closes with a fiery cover of Sepultura’s Territory, a tribute to their thrash lineage.
Behold a Pale Horse is darker, heavier and more apocalyptic than anything we’ve done before, states Parabellum. Where The Iron Curtain was about waking people up, this record is about what comes after - the collapse, the reckoning the cost of looking away.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Tom Jimenez at Audio Edge Recordings (Sacramento, CA), the album captures both youthful aggression and refined musicianship. The riffs are sharper, the drums more punishing and the vocals charged with urgency and conviction.
With lyrical themes of corruption, loss and awakening, Behold a Pale Horse is a sonic warning - fast, honest and uncompromising. It bridges the raw spirit of classic thrash with the weight of modern metal, proving that Parabellum are not just keeping the genre alive but pushing it forward.

For fans of Metallica, Sepultura, Exodus, Slayer, Testament, and such, Parabellum open their new recording on the ominously propulsive title track Behold A Pale Horse and the melodically churned I Am The Mockingbird and then we get the rhythmical metal gem Sanctification and Heresy, the intense You Think, Therefore I Am, the budding balladry of Sic Vita Est, before the drum-fed beauty No Honor, No Glory is upon us.
Next up is the poundingly frenetic Binding and the soaring brilliance of Descent To Darkness and they are backed by the atmospherically charged balladry of 7 Years, the forcefully acquired delirium of Scourge of God, the set rounding out on the all-embracing brilliance of their Sepultura cover Territory (Sepultura Cover), coming to a close on the rhythmic head banger Vaxatious.
