Renowned as one of the best-selling artists of all time with over 100 million records sold worldwide, slipping this new Neil Diamomnd vinyl LP out of its sleeve, my fingers on the edges I gently spin it over and over a few times to get that lovely fresh vinyl smell into the air, before I put Side A down on the turntable, place the needle, and sit back to take in the first track: the engaging title track Wild At Heart and then we get the emotive You Can’t Have It All, the lushly transportive Talking It To Death, the dutifully impassioned Shine On, the first side rounding out on the harmonic The Secret You.

Flipping the vinyl over for Side B, along next is the melodious You Never Know and the rhythmic pop-rock bounce of You’re Getting To Me, and then they are in turn backed by the low slung You Still Look Good To Me, then we get gifted the all-embracing evenflow of You’re My Favorite Song, the second side coming to a close on the beautifully sculpted Forgotten (Alternate Version).
