For those unaware, unique from the very beginning, Nachtfalter is a Dark Rock & Metal formation from Germany, founded in early 2017. The band represents a passion project by Tobias Serfling, who has been active in bands for 30 years.

The music and lyrical aspects are at the forefront, so much so that the press has referred to Nachtfalter as “Dark Poetry Rock.” The musical composition, lyrics, and vocals quickly captivate listeners, often drawing comparisons to Witt, Lacrimosa, or even Rammstein, without losing their own distinctive style.

The first album, “was bleibt”, was released in 2019 via ECHOZONE. With the first single “Maschinenklang”, the band stayed in the German Alternative Charts for six weeks, and “was bleibt” held a position in the Official German Metal & Rock Charts for over eight weeks. Nachtfalter received significant support from scene radios and gained interviews in well-established scene press outlets, such as Orkus Magazine, Sonic Seducer, and Legacy Magazine, which also supported the band’s music videos through features. The second album, “Abschied”, was released in 2024 and immediately entered the DAC charts at number 6 with the first single “Du bist mein”. To promote the album, the band produced five music videos independently, which were released as singles. The song “Narbentage” even made it to the final round of the “Battle of the Bands 2023” competition by Sonic Seducer Magazine. Once again, interviews were secured in renowned scene magazines Orkus and Sonic Seducer.

Currently, Nachtfalter are about to release their third full album this November 2026 via EchoZone Music and trust me when I say that their promise of a musical quantum leap in their now unmistakable and unique style has been well and truly realized here!
