Title - 'Beautiful Goodbye'
Artist - Richard Marx

Beautiful Goodbye is the first album of new studio material from the singer/songwriter Richard Marx in six years. Every track on the album incorporates an orchestral element, and the recording of the tracks was, according to Marx, "a thrill beyond anything I've done in the studio. And singing these songs brought out what I believe are the most effortless vocals of my recording career, so far."

This luscious new album begins with the mid-tempo ‘Whatever We Started,’ a track given all the more depth by some light background strings. That’s backed by the Flamenco-styling of ‘Suddenly,’ with both the soaring ‘Inside’ and then the title track; co-written with Daisy Fuentes, ‘Beautiful Goodbye.’ The first up-tempo song on the album comes along next in the guise of ‘Forgot To Remember.’ Co-written with Vertical Horizon frontman and frequent Marx collaborator, Matt Scannell it is followed by both the piano-fused ‘Turn Off The Night’ (co-written with multi-hit songwriter David Hodges) and the pop funk of ‘Have A Little Faith.’

The heartfelt ‘Like The World Is Ending’ (“I want to hold you down until it’s not against your will”) is next, and is followed by ’To My Senses,’ before the album is brought to a close with both the best song on the album, ’Getaway’ (co-written and produced with Walter Afanasieff) and then finally the piano ballad ’Eyes On Me.’
