Title - 'Ska Crazy!'
Artist - Neville Staple

That's right! The original Rude Boy and former vocalist for hit UK two-tone band The Specials returns with a brand new album of original and classic ska material.

Having sung in his own combo, The Neville Staple Band for many years now, and also alongside Ranking Roger in Special Beat, Neville Staple is no stranger to Ska music. Born in Manchester, Jamaica he moved with his family - aged just five - to England. Indeed, he was initially active in the UK sound system scene forming his own crew called "Jah Baddis".

Neville's first involvement with The Specials was when they were still called The Coventry Automatics. He initially joined as their roadie but at a gig supporting The Clash, Neville took to the stage and never looked back.

Today we have this brand new solo album from Staple, Ska Crazy! and it is a doozy! It includes old Ska classic covers and brand new material. His wife Christine Staple and long time friend Daddy Woody, a Jamaican DJ/Artist, also provide vocals on the album.

The album kicks-off with Prince Buster's 'Time Longer Than Rope,' before bringing us one of the most poignant, most heartfelt of tracks in 'Roadblock.' A song that takes us into the dark heart of poverty, violence and despair (much like The Specials once did with their huge hit 'Ghost Town'), it is backed by both 'The Farmyard Connection' and 'Play A Song For Me.'

We move along with 'Hypocrite,' before The Slickers' 'Johnny Too Bad,' and then the brilliant new track 'Rude Boy Returns.' Max Romeo's 'Wet Dream' is next with the authentic Jamaican sound of the album being rounded out by both 'Rub Up Push Up' and brand new composition 'Girl.'

The Bonus Dub Mixes are: 'Roadblock (Dub Mix),' 'The Farmyard Connection (Dub Mix),' and then both 'Play A Song For Me (Dub Mix)' and 'Girl (Dub Mix).'

Oh, and for all you vinyl purists out there, aside from being available on CD this wonderful, refreshing new album is also available on special colored vinyl!
