Merle Haggard is absolutely, positively the BEST country singer God ever put on this earth! Any song he sings is "his" song. He makes them all sound like Hag's original hits. This man is great and I was lucky enough to see him in person in Auburn, California. A glorious concert by him, it was fantastic. You would be hard pressed to hear a bad song come from this GREAT country singer. This CD ('Big City,' 'Yesterday's Wine,' 'I Always Get Lucky With You,' and 'I Had A Beautiful Time') brings back memories of the earlier Merle Haggard years. Merle's voice is still the same powerful mezmorizing delight. Every one of his CDs are creative works of art - his voice unique and spell binding. His story telling abilities grab at your heart and are always something you can relate to.
