'Thomas & Friends: Up Up & Away'
(Martin Sherman, Jules de Jongh, et al / DVD / NR / 2012 / Hit Entertainment)

Overview: Thomas and his friends reach new heights in these high-flying adventures! Thomas and Percy have a special adventure as they try and try again to bring balloons to Mr. Bubbles; Big Balloon Show.

DVD Verdict: 'Thomas & Friends Up, Up, & Away' is a collection of four wonderful kids episodes. As colorful, and as vibrantly told as ever before, Thomas and Percy have a special adventure as they try and try again to bring balloons to Mr. Bubbles at the 'Big Balloon Show.'

At the Children's Steam Fair, Emily learns there are great rewards - and laughs - in helping others. Whilst Kevin tries his hook at Hide and Peep and Thomas has a wonky whistle! And boy, does he like blowing it!

Thomas is just as fun and exciting for the boys in this great adventure. My youngest loved the Up, Up, & Away episode (balloons) best, of course! Well, he loves balloons, as many 3 year olds do! Thomas & Percy get to transport a large balloon and then they run into trouble. I love that all the Thomas movies have a lesson to learn.

I love how they constantly stress the importance of friendship and cooperation and they do it in such a fun way on these DVDs. The graphics are super cool and as adults, well, yes, sure ... we enjoyed watching the DVD too! This all-new release special feature content includes a game and puzzles, exclusive only to the DVD. This is a Full Screen Presentation (1.33:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
