'Tripping the Rift - Season Two'
(Stephen Root, Maurice LaMarche, et al / DVD / NR / (2004) 2006 / Anchor Bay Ent.)

Overview: Prepare to probe the most moist and sticky cracks of the universe with the intergalactic degenerates of starship Jupiter 43: Captain Chode, sultry Six of One, Whip, Gus, Beast-cow T'Nuk and Unstable A.I Bob. In the second Season of deep space depravity, there are battles in the Bermuda Quadrant a crash landing in Roswell and the infamous mission to unload 10,000 tubes of butt jelly on the gay planet Fabulous Heaven. Throw in some shrunken crews, alternate realities, escaped grandpas, pissed-off Dark Clowns, prison sex, heaven, hell and a high-school reunion, and you've got more freakin' space splooge than your primitive crapball of a planet deserves!

DVD Verdict: 'Tripping The Rift' is definitely worth the trip. It is funny beyond belief. Sex jokes are just half of the show. Every episode is interesting and has a good plot. In thise second season you get all 13 episodes plus lots of special features on 3 DVD's in a brilliantly made package with beautiful cover art. By laughter alone this beats 'Drawn Togethe'r or anything similar. Complete CGI (Computer Generated Images) so the visuals are stunning. OK, so in the second season of this great show there are battles in the Bermuda Quadrant, a crash landing in Roswell, and the infamous mission to unload 10,000 tubes of butt jelly on the gay panet Fabulous Heaven! The aptly named Choad is the captain of a band of smugglers. The rest include his reptilian nephew, a sex cyborg, a surly female something or other, and an effeminate gold robot. They roam around between the military-like federation and the empire of the Dark Clowns. Choad is not a favorite of either side and manages to keep running afoul of both. This motley band manages to get into some very strange situations and thus manages to do some decent parodies as well as original humor. Star Trek and Star Wars are obvious targets but we also see 2001: A Space Odyssey and I, Robot taking shots! Oh yeah, and despite a warning sticker on the front of the box claiming it is "uncensored", this is the exact footage shown on the sci fi channel. All the f-words are bleeped out, any time we had blurring on the screen, it's blurred here. Definitely worth the buy for the price. Enjoy!! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:

"Tripping the Rift Season 2: Where No Chode Has Gone Before" featurette
Outtakes and Bloopers
Eureka Promo
Audio Tracks: English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo), French (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo)
