'Owl City: Live From Los Angeles' [Blu-ray]
(Owl City / Blu ray / NR / 2012 / Eagle Rock Entertainment)

Overview: 'Owl City – Live from Los Angeles' give fans a rare chance to see into the world of Owl City, experiencing the excitement of his live show intimately with the mastermind behind the project: Adam Young.

Blu ray Verdict: Featuring over 90 minutes of live performance, behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews and more (oh so much more!), 'Owl City: Live From Los Angeles' is an incredible All-Access pass into one of his headlining shows from the All Things Bright and Beautiful" world tour of 2011.

As Young takes to the stage with his traditional Owl cry of "Hoot, hoot," the predominatly female teen crowd go wild. And, as one, they put their hands to their eyes, creating Owl-type "eyes" with their fingers! My goodness, it is a sight to truly behold as nearly everyone that the camera turns to does exactly the same thing!

After asking Los Angeles how they are doing this evening, Young steams into both 'The Real World' and 'Cave In' before anyone can blink an eye. His backing band is tight, his chosen stage color schemes both bright and beautiful to behold; as they change between lyrics, let alone songs!

The predominantly upbeat performance is a total joy to behold and if you are not a fan of Youngs, you WILL be after this! And yes, midway through we get his massive hit single, 'Fireflies' that just flies (all pun intended) off the screen, down through the speakers, and into your awaiting ears!

We also get another hit in the form of 'Dear In The Headlights,' but as Young himself points out to the always-singing, always-screaming, always-with him for the ride crowd, "you sound incredible" ... and you know what, they really do!

The full-tracking listing is: 1) The Real World, 2) Cave In, 3) Hello Seattle, 4) Angels, 5) Swimming in Miami, 6) Umbrella Beach, 7) I'll Meet You There, 8) Plant Life, 9) Setting Sail, 10) The Bird and the Worm, 11) Lonely Lullaby, 12) Fireflies, 13) Dreams Don't Turn to Dust, 14) Kamikaze, 15) Meteor Shower, 16) Galaxies, 17) Alligator Sky, 18) Deer in the Headlights, 19) Yacht Club, 20) How I Became the Sea, and 21) If My Heart Was a House.
