'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: 3-D Experience'
(Julie Henderson, Alyssa Miller, Irina Shayk, et al / Blu Ray / NR / 2011 / Sony Pictures)

Overview: Paradise won't ever feel closer than it does in "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: The 3D Experience". Join supermodels Julie Henderson, Alyssa Miller and 2011 SI Swimsuit cover girl Irina Shayk as they explore the natural beauty of Maui - and see it in breathtaking 3D on Blu-ray(TM).

Blu ray Verdict: 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: 3-D Experience' features some exclusive interviews with the models and some of the most amazing (3D) photo sessions that you'll ever have witnessed!

All shot on some of the most pristine beaches in the world, 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: The 3D Experience' is so incredibly vivid, so life-like you'll almost be able to feel the sand between your toes!

Taking it as it is though, one shouldn't be too fooled here as 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011: 3-D Experience' is, for all intents and purposes, essentially a documentary. A videotaped photo shoot of Alyssa Miller, Julie Henderson, and Irina Shayk walking, crawling, lying, and standing about - sometimes fresh, dripping wet from the sea - on beaches and in lush jungles of Hawaii.

The feature follows each model, the subject and her photographers comment on the location, the lady, and which side of her "personality" really "pops" when she's in front of the camera! The models meanwhile regale us with what gets them in the mood for the whole photo shoot, standing around nearly naked on beaches and in scenic jungles process.

As for the actual 3D element here, well, it is nice, sure, but beyond just helping the model "stand out" from the backgrounds, there's no denying that part of the 3D's allure in this case is for those moments when the model leans forward!! Anyhoo, enjoy but be warned - sunscreen not included! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.77:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
