DVD Verdict: Well, I do so love 'Grey's Anatomy.' A lot of watchers do not have any kind of TV programming, so they watch movies or DVD series like this. It's great. Plain and simple. I realize that some think of these serial programs as night time "soaps", but I don't view them as such. I love the characters and the stories.

Indeed, while some are better than others, what series does not have it's up's and down. I know that some years, the series will end and I surely want to see the final episode when it comes. I consider 'Grey's Anatomy' to be a cross between a medical drama and a soap opera - but I find it very entertaining to watch.

Here in Season 9, the plane crash that took the life of Lexie Grey sends shockwaves throughout the hospital. But from the ashes, romance will rise, with each surgeon handling the loss in their own personal way. Meredith finds her groove in the operating room while Derek's hand injury forces him to focus on something other than surgery.

And as Mark prepares to say goodbye, Alex falls for someone new, Cristina tries to rekindle the flame with Owen, and Bailey and Ben discover the perils of a long distance relationship.

And even with the continual fear the 'Grey's Anatomy' may be seeing its day with the possible last season (each passing season!), having these past episodes gives us all a chance to enjoy the talent of some great actors and wonderful writing that has kept us tied to Seattle Grace. I was told by my anatomy and physiology instructor, watch as many medical shows as this to gain a better knowledge of the medical world, but I am sure and I hope, without all the sex put in to keep you interested. I will miss this show (if and when), but I am so thankful that an option as these nine seasons are available to keep my need for 'Grey Anatomy' alive.
