'Winnie the Pooh: Springtime With Roo'
(David Ogden Stiers, Jim Cummings, Jimmy Bennett, John Fiedler, Kath Soucie, et al / Blu ray / NR / 2014 / Walt Disney)

Overview: Each year, Rabbit plays Easter Bunny, but this year, he's decided it's 'Spring Cleaning Day,' and he orders everyone to hop to it: scrubbing, dusting, and mopping. All his pals are disappointed - especially little Roo - until Rabbit learns that putting others first and showing friends how much you care turns every day into a precious gift.

DVD Verdict: My daughter is three and we have been watching 'A Very Merry Pooh Year' since Christmas! So, trust me, to have a new Pooh adventure given to us to review was a HUGE blessing in disguise (for both me and thesanity of my household!)

Anyway, we gave her this one just before Easter and she completely forgot about the other one! But don't be fooled by its title as this one sure does feature Roo, but primarily involves Rabbit. Indeed, Rabbit cancels Easter and declares it Spring Cleaning Day. It seems that the Easter before his preparations got ruined when everyone wouldn't follow his schedule.

It turns out that all the others had fun without him and he was hurt. How could they enjoy Easter without him ... the Easter ... Rabbit?! Hmmmm, a new one on me, but let's continue regardless. So, Roo is set on having an Easter egg hunt and so Tigger and Roo try to convince Rabbit to change his mind. Only when the narrator steps in and shows him the future without his friends does he realize the error of his ways.

So Scrooge ... oh, er, I mean Rabbit hooks up the best easter egg hunt, Roo teaches him the importance of holidays and what good friends are made of and Rabbit gets crowned the Eater Bunny again!

It's very colorful and sweet. It doesn't teach the real meaning of Easter, but it's another grand ol' Winnie the Pooh tale. It's for young children and runs around sixty minutes. And if you were wondering, my lovely daughter has yet to find Pooh flick that she didn't adore! [Angie Devlin] This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Bonus Features of:
