DVD Verdict: Well, to be fair, I never personally ever got swept up into this who turtle phenomenon back in the day. So it took a moment or two, once the DVD went into the player, to allow my middle-aged self to fully comprehend what Nickelodeon had done. And my oh my, what tremendous fun these animated episodes are!
Each one of these Top 10 Fan-Favorite episodes (www.TV.com) is so wonderfully creative and incredibly funny to watch. Sure they are just cartoons, but they each carry a message within them for the kids watching along at home - both then and now, of course.
OK, so now this middle-aged man is HOOKED! Which isn't bad as for someone who never watched the first series (1987-1996), has never seen any of the movies, and has been trying to play catch-up ever since this DVD was handed to me by my editor for review, I can honestly say I am beyond excited to be seeing the 2014 movie on the big screen in the theaters tomorrow!
