'Duck Commander Before The Dynasty'
(The Robertsons / DVD / NR / 2015 / LGF)

Overview: 'Duck Commander Before The Dynasty' is a look at the lives of the cast of 'Duck Dynasty' before the series took off and fame came a-knockin'!

DVD Verdict: OK, if you’ve only just heard of 'Duck Dynasty' and you’re wondering what all the craze is about, you might check out this newly discovered DVD, 'Duck Commander Before The Dynasty.' Because prior to hitting the big time, hunting, cooking, football and a successful duck call business kept the close-knit Robertson family flying high. But 'Duck Commander: Before the Dynasty' highlights nine entertaining episodes tracking the kinfolk from West Monroe to Vegas and beyond. And, trust me, it ain't all wine and roses for the clan back then!

With A&E’s 'Duck Dynasty' in its seventh season and their merchandise in so many stores, the Robertson family has come a long way. Even though I’m a fairly regular viewer of 'Duck Dynasty,' I learned a lot about the Robertson family, their faith, and the Duck Commander business by watching this hilarious (for the most part) DVD. It's raw, uncut, if you will, and just shows the guys in their natural element - although their beards are waaaaaay shorter, of course!

So, if you’ve watched A&E’s reality television series 'Duck Dynasty' and you’re wondering how they ever make a dime on duck calls with all the goofing around they do, but more importantly how it all came to be, this DVD is the one thing missing from your DD collection, trust me! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
