Overview: Join Caillou as he explores the outdoors and learns how much fun it can be to take care of the environment.

DVD Verdict: For those of you that are not aware, Caillou tells the tales of some very entertaining misadventures of a four year old boy named, of course, Caillou. Each day he discovers something new and interesting with his mommy, daddy, and Rosie.

Between Caillou segments are segments featuring Caillou's pet cat Gilbert, Caillou's teddy bear, Teddy, and Caillou's toy dinosaur, Rexy, in puppet form. The Caillou TV show deals, in general, with issues like fear of the dark, patience, being a good friend, being a good sibling, and other important facts of life.

Here in 'Caillou: Caillou's Garden Adventures,' in the first three episodes under the banner of Caillou Helps Out we get such titles as 'Caillou Can Compost,' 'Caillou's Tree' and 'Caillou Saves Water,' and in the second bacth of three, under the title of Caillou in the Garden, we get 'Blueberry Point, Class Pet' and finally, 'In the Garden.'

Our household favorites were when Caillou learns the value of seeing a task through to the end, when he explores the 'magic' of compost in Grandma's garden and when Caillou sees the importance of not playing favorites after he neglects his own pet to care for the class hamster. But I'm sure you all will find your own favorites too. This DVD also comes with the front cover as an inventive jigsaw puzzle as a bonus!
