'Peg + Cat: A Totally Awesome Halloween'
(DVD / G / 2015 / PBS)

Overview: Follow the adorable, spirited Peg and her sidekick Cat as they embark on adventures, solve problems together, and learn fundational math concepts and skills here on 'Peg + Cat: A Totally Awesome Halloween'!

DVD Verdict: 'Peg + Cat' is an absolutely wonderful show! It features a girl who is not obsessed with princesses and loves solving math-based problems. And it's not just for girls, trust me! I have an almost 5 year-old son who loves it more than any other show.

Indeed, every single one of his friends, male and female, also love it as it is interesting, insightful, and addresses common childhood issues with a spirit of fun and inquisitiveness.

'Peg + Cat: A Totally Awesome Halloween' features four stories including: "The Parade Problem" and "The Halloween Problem". In "The Parade Problem", Peg and Cat need to sort out recyclables to clean up the park in time for the nursery school's Halloween parade.

In in "The Halloween Problem", Peg and Cat find themselves pursued by a metal monster while they trick or treat. Also included on this DVD are the stories "The Highlight Zone Problem" and "The Bermuda Triangle Problem".

Each episode is Halloween-themed, of course, and brings up important topics such as safety in numbers, trying healthy treats and remembering even the scariest costumes are just that ... COSTUMES! Also, the additional features on this DVD include episode selection, play all, subtitles, DVI (descriptive video) and a link to the PBS Kids website.

I would like to thank PBS for another amazing production and I hope that this Winner of 3 Emmy Awards in 2015 continues to bring us further episodes of these high quality, educational shows. Well done PBS. Thank you! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
