DVD Verdict: In truth, my daughter and son BOTH loved this wonderful new DVD, let alone the tales of Sofia the First, in general, of course. So, what does that opening statement actually mean, I hear you cry! Well, to me it means that this new Sofia tale is great for young kids of all ages and genders.

Indeed, this new episode, 'Sofia The First: The Secret Library' was a HUGE amount of fun to watch along with them - even as an adult trying to focus on his business emails via his laptop! When Sofia discovers a wondrous hidden library of unfinished books, she learns it is her destiny as "Story Keeper" to make the tales come out right.

My kids also thought it was cool that both Merida and Olaf were in an extended version of this very same tale; also located on this DVD! It was lovely seeing them all back together again. And how does Princess Merida appear, well, as we join Sofia on her brave quest to rescue Minimus' brother, it seems impossible of a task - until Princess Merida offers some "spirited" advice!
