'Odd Squad: The O Games'
(DVD / G / 2016 / PBS)

Overview: Join the agents of Odd Squad for a competition featuring crazy math challenges where the winner gets to be Ms. O for a day and run Odd Squad! Agent Otto is chosen to compete, but so is the villain Odd Todd, Agent Olives former partner. Will Odd Todd eliminate each of his competitors and shut down Odd Squad forever if he wins?

DVD Verdict: For those not in the know, The Odd Squad is a government agency that’s run by kids! Their mission is to investigate and rectify strange occurrences and to keep everyone safe. All of the agents have names that begin with the letter “O”.

Field agents Otto, Olive, and their boss Miss O., are in each of the six episodes on this 90-minute DVD. As the title suggests, each episode is challenge themed and they all use math logic to solve the perplexing mysteries in their neighborhood.

Indeed, as they say, Ready, set go ... for we join the agents of Odd Squad for a competition featuring crazy math challenges where the winner gets to be Ms. O for a day and run Odd Squad! Agent Otto is chosen to compete, but so is the villain Odd Todd, Agent Olive's former partner.

Will Odd Todd strategically eliminate each of his competitors and shut down Odd Squad forever if he wins? With quick thinking and support from headquarters, Otto learns that all it takes are great math skills and supportive teammates to save the day!

This delightful, and uber fun 'Odd Squad: The O Games' DVD includes the following stories: 'The O Games (extended adventure)', 'Bad Luck Bears', 'Whatever Happened to Agent Oz?', 'Not So Splash', and 'Skip Day'.

As they always are, 'Odd Squad: The O Games' is a live-action series with the goal of helping kids ages 5-8 learn math. And for that reason alone, my boy enjoyed this show and its wacky humor tremendously! Besides entertaining, it teaches logic and math concepts like fractions and graphing/charting. I highly recommend this DVD to all parents of children interested in math, or otherwise. Either way it will definitely, 100% keep them occupied watching The Odd Squad figure things out - and you also, most likely! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
