'Power Rangers Super Megaforce: Complete Season'
(Andrew M. Gray, Ciara Hanna, Christina Masterson, John Mark Loudermilk, Azim Rizk, et al / 5-Disc DVD / NR / 2016 / LGF)

Overview: In order to stop ruthless Prince Vekar and his massive alien Armada, the Rangers have only one hope: to unlock the special Keys - and harness the amazing powers of Legendary Rangers of the past! The Complete Season of 'Power Rangers Super Megaforce' is now available with over 7 hours of content!

DVD Verdict: I have to fully admit that I've been awaiting this complete season of 'Power Rangers: Super Megaforce' all being housed together for rather a long time now! With all-new adventures, the franchise expanded well and brought us five new tales to tell, each with four or more episodes per story line to enthrall us fans.

Sure, in general, the 'Power Rangers: Super Megaforce' series is mostly about frenzied kick action, preposterous moments and other such nonsense. But 'Power Rangers: Super Megaforce' slightly changed the rules of the old series and upgraded their look to include some polished effects, costumes, fights, acting, and most importantly, writing.

Indeed, it's the writing that takes the cake as it implements a lesson/theme into each episode while simultaneously giving character development with an actual plot of how a small group of teenagers need to defend Earth from evil aliens (thanks to the costumes the villains are definitely menacing rather than ridiculous).

My favorites are the Red Ranger Troy (disciplined, serious, yet caring and knows that everyone has weakness) and the Pink Ranger Emma (one who deeply cares about the world around it and knows that there is always a way for everyone to work together). All in all this is one that both fans, and perhaps non-fans (including reluctant parents!) can enjoy; ranking, in my humble opinion, alongside the veins of the underrated Lightspeed Rescue.

Earth Fights Back:
1. Super Megaforce
2. Earth Fights Back
3. Blue Saber Saga
4. A Lion’s Alliance

The Silver Warrior:
5. Samurai Surprise
6. Spirit of the Tiger
7. Silver Lining
8. Silver Lining, Part 2

The Perfect Storm:
9. Power of Six
10. The Perfect Storm
11. Love Is in the Air
12. United As One
13. The Grass Is Always Greener ... Or Bluer

Sky Strike
14. In the Driver's Seat
15. All Hail Prince Vekar
16. Vrak Is Back, Part 1
17. Vrak Is Back, Part 2
18. Emperor Mavro

So come one, one and all, and dive into the epic battle as the Rangers begin their fight against a massive alien Armada and discover legendary new special abilities at the same time! Come on now, give it a chance. Especially if you're an old fan of the show, have drifted away and might want to come back. Personally, OK, I've never really liked everything that Jonathan Tzachor did (that second PR movie was a low point), but hey, without him there would be no PR! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:
