'The Lion Guard: Unleash The Power'
(Max Charles, James Earl Jones, Rob Lowe, Dusan Brown, Sarah Hyland, et al / DVD / NR / 2016 / Disney Junior)

Overview: Alone, every hero has his or her own special talent. But when champions work together, the results are "un-Bunga-lievable"! Defend the Pride Lands with Kion and his courageous team in Disney's breathtaking adventure series based on the legacy of THE LION KING.

DVD Verdict: OK, for those not in the know, The Lion Guard TV show (which is definitely more entertaining than the introductory movie) was unleashed upon us a year or so back. And now that they've introduced the lead characters and explained the backstory they're able to move onto mini fun adventures. Each week you get introduced to a new African species with all their quirks and issues which keeps it fresh.

Here on 'The Lion Guard: Unleash The Power' you'll run like the wind, move mountains and save the day with these five brave friends as they summon their inner powers and help protect the Circle of Life. Packed with action, music and over two hours of fun, 'The Lion Guard: Unleash The Power' proves that when heroes join forces, they're truly a force to be reckoned with.

Personally, with two little boys who love this TV show, I haven't seen a new episode in months. In fact, it seemed to stop shortly after the first major hiatus for TLG, but these 8 new episodes are here and boy, are they gonna be welcomed with tiny open arms by my two kids! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Episode Listing of: "Fuli's New Family"; "Bunga The Wise"; "Eye Of The Beholder"; "Follow That Hippo!"; "The Search For Utamu"; "Never Judge A Hyena By Its Spots".
