'Kid West' [DVD+Digital]
(Mary Bair, Ashley Rose Montondo, Atquetzali Quiroz, Lorenzo Reyes, Bruce Bohne, et al / DVD+Digital / NR / (2017) 2018 / Mill Creek Entertainment)

Overview: Harper is a precious 12-year-old on the lookout for adventure. Armed with a slingshot and her wits, she strives to right the wrongs in her small community…cowgirl style. She’s on a mission to protect a mystical treasure from falling into the hands of a gang of bullies.

By enlisting help from a handful of colorful characters, Harper sets off on an adventure to learn the truth about this local urban legend while rightfully earning the nickname ... Kid West.

DVD Verdict: I have to say I loved this cute little movie and highly recommend it to everyone; especially those with early teens rattling around the house!

Simply put, 'Kid West' is a fun and highly adventurous movie. It has a great original story, funny moments, and a clever mystery. In fact, it was a little like Indiana Jones, one of my all-time favorites!

OK, playing devil's advocate, sure there's no bad language or the like, but the main character was very disobedient/disrespectful to her mother. I didn't like seeing it, but it does lead somewhere nice, so please stick with it and ride that portion out.

I was very impressed with the writing, directing, and acting and can easily see this being turned into a series or having a sequel! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1:78.1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
