The Grammy nominated, sultry vocalist Roberta Gambarini and legendary pianist Hank Jones team up for what could be one of the one of the most anticipated jazz pairings of the year on You Are There. The album is slated to be in stores February 12th on Emarcy/Groovin High Records.

Six years in the making, You Are There, is a collection of 14 hauntingly beautiful melodies that seduce the audience back to a time when true jazz reined. The music was recorded in one afternoon at Jim Czak's NOLA Recording Studio in New York City. Gambarini and Jones had no concept for the album- just 25 tunes they liked and thought would be interesting to record. "There were no isolation booths, no headphones, no over dubs," Gambarini remembers. "The sound would be just what you would hear had you been in someone's living room playing among friends." That is the magic of Hank Jones.
