Win 'Snack Time' from the BNL ... TODAY!
BARENAKED LADIES have collaborated with Emmy-nominated animator Nancy Lennert (Blues Clues, Little Bill) to create a hilarious western-themed video for the track “7 8 9” off of their forthcoming original children’s album, SNACKTIME, out May 6. The western-themed video features the numbers 1 through 10 hanging out at “5 Ladies Saloon,” but 6 is afraid of 7.
BNL will perform “7 8 9” on Live! With Regis & Kelly on Wednesday, May 7 as part of a promotional tour they are doing around the release, which includes a series of in-store events (full schedule below).
Families can also see the songs from the Snacktime album come to life with a children’s book by the same title, which is now being offered as part of a deluxe package on the band’s website (bnlmusic.com). The book is a special adaptation of the SNACKTIME song lyrics with imaginative illustrations from BNL's own Kevin Hearn.
So, if you would like to win one of these new CDs then just answer this easy question: The band's first full album, Gordon, was released in 1992 and was a big success in Canada. It included some of the band's most well-known songs, including "If I Had $1000000", which spawned a certain food throwing tradition at live shows - that the band has since discouraged! So, what kind of food were the crowd throwing during a certain line in the song?!
Send us your answers and if you're correct you'll be in the running to win one of these new CDs! Just send us an e:mail here before August 1st with your answer and the subject title CONTEST: BNL CDs to: exclusivemagazine@flash.net
