Win 'Factotum' Books and CDs ... TODAY!

On behalf of IFC Films, Exclusive Magazine is pleased to announce another terrific summer film – 'FACTOTUM', starring Matt Dillon, Lili Taylor and Marisa Tomei.

Directed by Bent Hamer, and based on the 1975 novel by acclaimed author Charles Bukowski, Factotum (meaning “person of many jobs”) is the story of a writer unburdened by societal convention, and his journey of self-discovery. This writer, the character of Henry Chinaski, is widely known to be Bukowski’s alter ego.

Henry Chinaski (Dillon) considers himself a writer, and on occasion writes. Mostly he quests for the booze and women that sidetrack and seduce, rather than inspire greatness. When he falls for Jan (Taylor), the soulful connection fails to save either from their self-destructive ways, and the relationship totters between earnest connection and reflective loathing.

With exceptional performances that capture the intoxicated journey though life and art, Factotum is the story of a man living on the edge; a writer who risks everything, tries anything, and finds poetry in life’s pleasure and pain.

'Factotum' hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on August 18th, then expands to select cities nationwide in the weeks that follow.

So, if you would like to win one of these new soundtrack CDs or Books (our choice), just answer this easy question: Which of Charles Bukowski's novels is the first-person account of Henry Chinaski, a hard-drinking gambler and womanizer who goes to work every day ... hating his job in Los Angeles?!

Send us your answers and if you're correct you'll be in the running to win one of these wonderful new soundtrack CDs or Books! Just send us an e:mail here before September 1st with your answer and the subject title CONTEST: FACTOTUM to: exclusivemagazine@flash.net
