'NEWS RADIO' is a half-hour sitcom which features Dave Nelson (Dave Foley), an enthusiastic and quietly confident New York transplant - and closet Canadian. In an effort to command the respect of his oddball staff, he takes his job as WNYX news director seriously. Sometimes a bit too seriously. Unfortunately, and at the same time, he’s forced to constantly interpret the signals he receives from his eccentric boss, Jimmy James (Stephen Root), pacify egomaniacal on-air talent Bill McNeal (Phil Hartman), endure his sassy secretary, Beth (Vicki Lewis) - as well as balance his personal and professional relationship with attractive and witty, long-time newswriter Lisa Miller (Maura Tierney).
'NIGHT COURT' is considered one of television's more recent "classic" situation comedy series. Starring 4 time Emmy Award®-winning actor John Laroquette as D.A. Dan Fielding, this program features one of the finest ensemble casts in television comedies, including the unconventional judge Harry Stone, played by former stand-up comedian and star of Dave's World, Harry Anderson, who presided over one of the craziest courtrooms ever seen on television.
