'THE MALE INTELLECT: AN OXYMORON?' PLAYS A LIMITED THREE-WEEK ENGAGEMENT AT THE CITY THEATRE STARTING WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6!
'The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron?' starring Robert Dubac, will play Detroit's intimate City Theatre (next to the Fox Theatre) for a limited engagement Wednesday, October 6-24, 2004.
The hilarious hit one-man show pinpoints and celebrates the differences between the sexes, and attempts to answer the age-old question, "What do women want?"
As the 'The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron?' opens, we meet Bobby who is in a very confused state. The only thing he's figured out about women is that they're female. After he meets and proposes to the girl of his dreams, and she gently dumps him, he's unable to understand why. Bobby harkens back to the days he received some funny, but probably not-so-wise advice growing up with five chauvinistic male mentors. With a shrug of his shoulders and a crook of his neck, Robert Dubac seamlessly transforms himself from Bobby into the five alter egos, who each offered his own brand of misguided advice.
As an adult, Bobby realizes most of the advice is absolutely worthless, but with help from his more feminine side, he's able to sift through the bad advice and discover the secret of what women really want in 'The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron?'
Denver Post and Toronto Star both gave the show its highest four-star rating, and even John Gray, author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, raves "The Male Intellect is hilarious as it is thought-provoking … a brilliant show."
