'The Persuaders' To Hit The Big Screen!
BRITISH comic Steve Coogan is to team up with Hollywood star Ben Stiller in a big-budget remake of 'The Persuaders.' The pair will take the roles made famous by Roger Moore and Tony Curtis in the cult 1971 TV show. Roger and Tony played two wealthy playboys - English aristocrat Lord Brett Sinclair and brash American Danny Wilde - who teamed up to solve crimes and seduce beautiful women. And Steve, best known as Alan Partridge, says he has always wanted to play Roger’s part. “I really, really loved The Persuaders,” he said. “I liked the fact that after Moore had punched someone, he’d immediately take a comb out, sort his haircut and wander off.”
