The couple, who have two children, married in 1999 after working together on the film Cruel Intentions. "They remain committed to their family," their publicists said in a joint statement. Witherspoon, 30, won the best actress Oscar earlier this year for her role in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line. Phillippe, 32, played a young police officer in the film Crash, which went on to win the Academy Award for best film.
