Joan Jett's 'My Cadillac Story' Info
When legendary rocker Joan Jett began her solo career, she was turned
down by every major record label (at a time when there were two dozen of
them!). So Joan and business/songwriting partner and producer Kenny
Laguna set out to form their own record company, manufacturing albums
and selling them out of the trunk of Kenny's 1976 Cadillac Coupe
DeVille. The Caddy served as a touring vehicle for the band and the
first 'office' of their burgeoning company. Blackheart Records was
born.
