'The Hollywood Reporter' indicates the catchy Avril Lavigne song 'Sk8er Boi' - about a girl who develops a crush on a skater boy (what else) and even though her friends disapprove - has been optioned by Paramount and MTV Films to become a feature film! Maybe now she'll be able to afford something other than a torn shirt and school tie?!
