'Wrath of the Titans'
(Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Edgar Ramirez, Toby Kebbell / PG-13 / 99 mins / Warner Bros.)

Overview: The epic battle between the Titans and the gods continues in this sequel set ten years after the events in Clash of the Titans, as Perseus (Sam Worthington) descends into the underworld on a mission to rescue Zeus from the clutches of Hades (Ralph Fiennes), Ares (Edgar Ramirez), and Kronos.

Verdict: The "Clash of the Titans" remake was just as awful as the original but the reason escapes me as to why I bothered to see this movie. It was just as unimpressive as I thought it would be despite the decent visual effects.

The actors were alright, except Rosamund Pike's Andromeda who I thought came off a little robotic. She was something of a downgrade from the actress who played Andromeda in the prequel. The story did have material to work with to allow it to flow but the problem is that it falls into the same trap as other movies of it genre: it cannot be taken seriously. I just wanted to see more "wrath" from this movie.

Also, it is a shame I need subtitles to see an American movie. Because of all foreign actors it is hard to understand what they say because of the thick accents!
