'Cheaper By The Dozen'
(Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, Tom Welling / PG / 87 mins / 20th Century Fox)

Overview: This remake of the 1950 Walter Lang film tells the story of an efficiency expert (Steve Martin) who tries to run his wacky family (including a gaggle of patience-trying kids) according to the same principles he uses in the corporate world.

Verdict: OK, 'Cheaper By The Dozen' (a remake of the 1950's original) isn't without charm, or laughs, but is most definitely a standard-issue family comedy - just as only Steve Martin can churn them out each and every year! A bubbling crockpot of farcical mush to warm the tummies of anyone who really and truly misses 'The Brady Bunch', and I mean really and truly, will fall head-over-heels for this lighthearted fun.
