'Godsend'
(Robert De Niro, Greg Kinnear, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos / PG-13 / 91 mins / Lions Gate Films)

Overview: A married couple (Greg Kinnear and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) turns to a doctor (Robert De Niro) who has developed a new cloning technology to replace their recently deceased 8-year-old son.

Verdict: Oh dear! 'Godsend' is the cheesiest of hallucinatory horror movies quite possibly ever made! It fails to achieve its ambitions or to fulfill our expectations, every scare is telegraphed, and ends up to be nothing short of a dreary slog through haunted-child movie cliches! None of this is very compelling, and completely lacking in psychological or emotional truth, 'Godsend' is, well, just plain godawful!!
