'Codename: The Cleaner'
(Cedric the Entertainer, Elizabeth Hurley, Lucy Liu, Callum Keith Rennie, Nicolette Sheridan, et al / PG-13 / 89 mins / New Line)

Overview: Cedric the Entertainer plays an amnesiac janitor who carries information that is incriminating to the FBI in his subconscious. In order to stop him from talking, agents dupe him into thinking he is an undercover secret agent. Lucy Liu, Elizabeth Hurley, Callum Keith Rennie, and Nicolette Sheridan co-star.

Verdict: Cedric is a janitor with amnesia who may or may not be a special-ops secret agent. He can't remember, and no one's telling him. But he's got a computer chip stashed on him somewhere, and bad guys want it, and Sheridan is one of them. Liu, meanwhile, is an undercover agent who knows she's an agent, but maybe he can't trust her either, even though she calls him Boo, which is kind of sweet, you know? The rest is about watching Cedric do wacky stuff like dress up in a Swiss folk outfit and clog dance. But it could be a lot worse. It could be Adam Sandler or Pauly Shore or Roberto Benigni. When you think of it like that, you begin to count your blessings!
